Alternative Investment Fund Structures’
(AIFs)

At present, Intermediaries seeking to launch investment products have several potential structures to choose from: Alternative Investment Funds Structure (AIFs), Listed Bonds or Actively Managed Certificates (AMCs).

Most AIFs/bonds come with the disadvantage of not having any passporting rights in Europe and distribution in Switzerland is very limited.

Some negative features include that they come with high set up, regulatory and legal costs.
